This antioxidant-rich smoothie bowl is just as tasty as it is pretty! Just blend everything up, add toppings and you’re good to go!
If you follow me on instagram, you know that I love my morning smoothie (I think every third photo that I post is of a smoothie…oops!). Even on these cold winter days, I still have smoothies for breakfast. It’s super easy and you can always change the flavors so you never get bored. Although let’s be honest, when I find something that I like, I tend to eat it over and over again… Is anyone else like that?
Last week I started experimenting with smoothie bowls (ummm yes, I’m aware that I’m SUPER late to the party). This particular smoothie bowl has been my favorite so far. It took me a few attempts to get the consistency right (when I first started making them all of my toppings literally sank to the bottom of the bowl), but once I got the ratios correct, there was no turning back! Not to mention, it’s pretty to look at, don’t you think?
I’m all about making quick and easy recipes so that you can get on with your day, and this one is no exception! All you have to do is blend together the base ingredients, and top it with whatever you’d like! I just used what I had on hand in my kitchen – cacao nibs, blueberries, bananas and granola. So easy!

- 1 cup frozen blueberries
- ½ frozen banana
- ¾ cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (I use Perfect Fit)
- Handful of fresh blueberries
- 1 tbsp cacao nibs
- ¼ cup granola
- ½ banana, sliced
- Blend frozen blueberries, banana, almond milk and protein powder until smooth
- Top with blueberries, cacao nibs and granola!
